## Description

The **heavy machinery battery** for construction and mining equipment (Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo CE, JCB, Liebherr, Hitachi, Hyundai, Doosan, Bobcat, Case, New Holland) has to crank 4-15 litre diesel engines in extreme conditions: brutal vibration, -30 °C winter sites, very high engine-bay temperatures, dust and mud.
Industrial standard: **reinforced SHD lead-acid** 140-225 Ah with EN CCA 1,000-1,150 A in 24 V series banks (two 12 V batteries).

## Choosing the SHD battery for an excavator or loader

SHD means **Super Heavy Duty**: thicker plates than truck HD, reinforced polyester separators, double anti-vibration anchor. A standard SLI or even a regular truck HD fails within weeks on an excavator — bucket-swing vibration and extreme cold cranks kill them. **Never drop below SHD** on earth-moving equipment.

Not the same thing. Truck = HD; earth-moving = SHD. On hydraulic machines with bucket or hammer vibration, an HD breaks internally within weeks.
