In normal use that means many more years of service. ### **Can I replace my lead-acid battery directly with lithium?** In many service applications (marine, camper, solar) yes, respecting voltage and dimensions, but your charger, solar regulator or alternator must support a lithium-compatible charging profile. They are not starter batteries unless the manufacturer explicitly says so. ### **Is LiFePO4 chemistry safe?** It is the most thermally stable lithium chemistry and contains no cobalt.
