Why search for a battery by number plate?

Your number plate is the most reliable way to identify the exact battery your vehicle needs. It allows us to know the make, model, year, engine and whether your car uses Start-Stop, AGM or EFB technology — avoiding compatibility errors that happen when searching only by make and model.

What battery does my car need?

The right battery for your vehicle depends on several factors: engine power, whether the car has a Start-Stop system, the technology type (AGM, EFB or standard) and the battery compartment dimensions. With the plate we can identify exactly which battery your car needs without you having to know these technical details.

If your vehicle has a Start-Stop system, you must use a battery specifically designed for it (AGM or EFB), as conventional batteries cannot withstand the additional start cycles.

AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) batteries are essential for vehicles with active Start-Stop and regenerative braking energy recovery systems. EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery) batteries are an intermediate solution for basic Start-Stop. Conventional batteries are not suitable for Start-Stop vehicles.
Common signs are: slow engine cranking, lights dimming when starting, the car won't start in cold weather, or the battery is over 4-5 years old. If you experience any of these symptoms, we recommend a load test.
A quality battery lasts between 4 and 7 years depending on use, climate conditions and vehicle type. Vehicles with many electrical accessories or Start-Stop systems may see reduced battery life if the wrong technology is used.
We determine the exact amp-hour capacity from your number plate. Generally, small cars need 45-60 Ah, medium cars 60-75 Ah, and large or Start-Stop cars may need 80-110 Ah. Never fit a battery with fewer Ah than the original.
