Jumper Starter Rasmus Marine

Why a marine-specific jump starter

A generic car jump pack often falls short of cranking a boat engine: inboard diesels (Volvo Penta, Yanmar, Mercury) and powerful outboards demand real cold-crank peaks of 1,000-2,000 A. The Rasmus Marine boat battery jump starter is sized for this load, with insulated professional clamps for salt-air environments and a case ready for onboard use.

Which Rasmus Marine model to choose

• Rasmus Marine 12V Pro — 1,500 A peak, 20,000 mAh: mid inboard diesel and outboard.
• Rasmus Marine 12V HD — 2,000 A peak, 30,000 mAh: large diesel and fast power-boat.

How to use it safely

• Check the internal charge before leaving the dock; connect the positive clamp to the battery positive first, then the negative clamp to the battery negative or to chassis, away from the positive terminal.
• Crank the engine for a maximum of 5-8 seconds, no more than 3 back-to-back attempts without a rest, and disconnect the negative clamp first.

Frequently asked questions about the Rasmus Marine jump starter

What amperage do I need for my engine?

For a mid inboard diesel or an outboard, the 12V Pro (1,500 A) is enough; for a large diesel or fast power-boat, the 12V HD (2,000 A) gives more headroom.

Does it work with the boat AGM, GEL or lithium battery?

The jump starter only supplies external current through the clamps, so it works the same with lead-acid, AGM, GEL or lithium boat batteries; the key point is respecting polarity when connecting.

What is the difference between the Pro and the HD?

The Pro covers mid inboard diesel and outboard; the HD has more capacity for large diesel and fast power-boats.

Is it resistant to the marine environment?

Yes, its professional clamps are insulated for salt-air environments and the case is built for regular onboard use.
