Terminal (post)
Electrical connection from the battery to the vehicle wiring. EN standard types: B0/B13/B19 (cars), F1/F2 (motorcycles), Stud (trucks).
A terminal (or post) is the physical connection where the vehicle's cable is bolted to the battery. The EN standard types for passenger cars: B0 (large taper, 19.5 mm + / 17.9 mm −, majority in Europe); B13 (same taper but with M6 bolt for Start-Stop systems); B19 (with side extension for Japanese cars). On motorcycles the terminals are F1 (M5 screw with nut) and F2 (flat Faston type). On trucks and heavy machinery they are Stud (threaded M10 or M12 post) or special DIN. Adapters exist for edge cases but they are NOT recommended (poor connection = high resistance = voltage drop on starting).
If your original battery has a given terminal type, the replacement must match.
