How to choose the right battery
Amp-hour capacity (Ah) tells you how much energy the battery stores and is the first figure for choosing the right replacement: always fit the same Ah the manufacturer specifies, or slightly more — never less. This index holds 105 different capacities, from 1 to 260 Ah, with 1255 batteries in total and stock updated daily.

What capacity (Ah) does my car need?
As a rule of thumb: small petrol 40-55 Ah, compact 60-75 Ah, diesel and SUV 70-95 Ah, premium and large diesel 95-110 Ah. The exact figure is on your current battery's label: fit the same capacity or slightly higher, never lower.
Is it a problem to fit more Ah than the original?
No: if it fits the tray and the terminals match, extra capacity only adds energy reserve — the alternator charges it exactly the same. What you must never reduce are the Ah or the cold cranking amps (CCA) versus the original.
