Equivalent / Compatible
Battery from a different brand than the OEM with identical specifications (Ah, CCA, technology, dimensions, polarity).
An equivalent battery is one from a manufacturer other than the OEM that shares the same technical specifications: capacity (Ah), cranking current (CCA), technology (SLI / EFB / AGM / GEL), physical dimensions (case L0-L6), polarity and terminal type. For example, an AGM 80 Ah 800 CCA L4 right polarity has equivalents in every major brand (Varta, Bosch, Exide, Banner, Tudor…). Any of them will work in a car that fits this specification from the factory. At baterias.com, when you search by registration plate or by part-number, the system automatically displays all compatible equivalences ordered by price — so you can choose the brand you prefer or the cheapest one without sacrificing compatibility.
If an equivalence does NOT appear, it is because some key specification differs (typically the technology: never replace AGM with EFB or vice versa even if Ah and CCA match — the Start-Stop ECU detects it).
