Kronobat DP-80-AGM 12V 80Ah 800A is a battery for auxiliary services in motorhomes, caravans and campers. Powers the fridge, interior lighting, water pump and sockets while parked, with no need for campsite mains. Withstands daily discharges throughout the season.

The 12 V, 80 Ah Kronobat DP-80-AGM battery from the Dual Purpose AGM range with AGM technology is designed for motorhomes, caravans and campers that need power off-grid. Measuring 315 × 175 × 190 mm and the positive terminal on the right, it is the direct replacement for motorhomes and caravans fitted from the factory with a 80 Ah battery of this format.
The Kronobat DP-80-AGM is designed for motorhomes, caravans and campers that need power off-grid: it powers fridge, lights, pump and chargers for several days off-grid. Its 80 Ah capacity sets the available autonomy. Check that it matches your current battery in dimensions, terminals and hold-down: this reference has a weight of 22.76 kg and 1.0 terminals.
It has external dimensions of 315 × 175 × 190 mm and weighs 22.76 kg. The positive terminal on the right decides which side the cables end up on: it is the detail that causes most buying mistakes, so check it before ordering. It uses 1.0 terminals, the system that anchors and connects it in the vehicle. Before replacing it, measure your current battery tray: if all three dimensions and the terminal positions match, the swap is direct and needs no adapters.
The DP-80-AGM is part of the Kronobat Dual Purpose AGM range. Choosing the right reference within the series comes down to capacity, dimensions and terminals: technology and quality are common to the whole family.
AGM means the acid is held in a glass mat instead of floating free. That is why the battery can be installed in the cabin without gases, survives more cycles and recovers its charge quickly.
Kronobat is the exclusive brand of baterias.com: batteries made to the same production standards as the leading brands, with a value for money that is hard to match and an official warranty. All the Kronobat batteries in our catalogue are genuine product, recently manufactured and covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
The Kronobat DP-80-AGM comes with the manufacturer's official warranty against manufacturing defects. Avoid repeated full discharges: they shorten its life and are not covered.
During months of storage, keep it charged with a mains charger or a small solar panel; a battery left discharged for weeks loses capacity permanently. Avoid routinely discharging the leisure battery below 50% and recharge it fully after every trip.
Same-day dispatch from our warehouse for in-stock orders placed before 6:00 pm: 24-48 working hours in mainland Spain and Portugal, 3 to 5 days in the islands and the rest of Europe. Returns are accepted for 14 days if the battery has not been used (free collection on the Iberian mainland). You will receive tracking by email.

Guide to replace the leisure battery of your motorhome or caravan. Estimated time 15-25 minutes. Important: isolate the 12V auxiliary system before handling.
Turn off fridge, lights, water pump, Truma Mover and other auxiliary loads. Disconnect the 230V shore power and solar panels if any.
On motorhomes usually under the driver/passenger seat, in an outside locker or in the garage area. Verify this is NOT the engine starter battery — that one is up front with the engine.
Use the 10 mm wrench to loosen the negative cable nut (black, marked −) and remove the cable from the post. Move it aside so it cannot touch any bodywork.
Repeat with the positive cable (red, marked +). Important: never let a terminal touch metal of the car while the other is still connected.
Loosen the bottom hold-down clamp with the same wrench. Lift the battery carefully (it can weigh 15-25 kg). Clean the tray with a brush and baking soda if there is corrosion.
Place the battery in the same orientation as the old one (positive terminal on the same side). Tighten the hold-down clamp firmly.
Connect the positive (+) terminal first, then the negative (−). Tighten the nuts with the wrench until each terminal does not move. Apply anti-spark grease if you have any.
After connecting, check the combi charger (CBE/Schaudt/Nordelettronica) recognises the new battery: voltage should stabilise at 13.2-13.8 V with 230V connected. Test a couple of services (lights + pump) before heading out.
Yes. The DP-80-AGM from Kronobat uses AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) technology: a sealed lead-acid battery where the electrolyte is absorbed in a glass-fibre mat. It withstands more charge/discharge cycles than a conventional one, handles heat better and is the required technology for caravans with advanced Start-Stop and regenerative braking. Expected lifespan: 5-8 years under normal conditions.
In most caravans it fits in 15-30 minutes with a 10 mm wrench; if the battery is under the seat or in the boot the time can double. See the step-by-step guide on this page. Quick summary: 1) switch off the engine and remove the key; 2) locate the original battery (engine bay, boot or under seat); 3) disconnect the negative (−) terminal first, then the positive (+); 4) loosen the hold-down clamp and remove the old battery; 5) fit the new one in the same orientation — match the polarity shown on the product sheet; 6) connect the positive (+) first, then the negative (−). On caravans with Start-Stop or BMS, register the battery via OBD so the alternator applies the correct charging profile.
Expected lifespan of the Kronobat DP-80-AGM is 5 to 8 years in mild-climate caravan use with Start-Stop. In cold regions it drops slightly due to cold-start stress; in very hot regions it also drops because of electrolyte evaporation. To extend its life: avoid deep discharges (headlights on with engine off), have the alternator checked yearly, and keep the battery clean and properly secured.
Dimensions (length × width × height) are 315×175×190 mm — also written as 315x175x190 mm and correspond to the European L4 case size — following the European DIN standard. Always measure the space in your caravan before buying: even one extra millimetre can prevent the hold-down clamp from closing. The height shown includes the terminals.
Three options to confirm: 1) enter your number plate in the finder (DGT/DVLA/KBA auto-detect your model and engine); 2) check the "Compatible vehicles" tab on this page, where we list every vehicle verified by our technical team; 3) if you cannot find your model, message us on WhatsApp with brand, model, engine and year — we reply during business hours (Mon–Fri 10:00–13:30 and 16:40–18:00 (Spanish time, CET)). The DP-80-AGM typically fits a wide range of European vehicles thanks to its standard DIN case format.
Directly interchangeable batteries (same dimensions, same polarity, same Ah and CCA) are the OEM equivalents from leading brands: Bosch, Tudor, Exide and, depending on the model, Banner or Yuasa. Exact equivalence depends on technology — an EFB cannot be replaced with a conventional battery in Start-Stop caravans. See the "Equivalents" section to view recommended options at the same performance level.
