Both are sealed VRLA AGM batteries, but the RT is the standard stand-by range while the RL is the Long Life version, with a 10-12 year float design life that cuts down the number of replacements.

RITAR RL batteries

Ritar RL batteries are 12V Long Life AGM batteries, from 7 to 150 Ah, with a design life of 10-12 years in float service. This is Ritar's long-life series: the same sealed VRLA technology, but built to last roughly twice as long as a standard stand-by AGM.

They are intended for UPS systems and critical installations where replacing batteries is expensive or awkward: data centres, plant rooms, telecoms and security systems. A long-life stationary battery means fewer replacements, fewer maintenance visits and less risk of backup failure.

Long Life AGM batteries: up to 10-12 years of float service

The Ritar RL (Long Life) series uses grids and materials sized to resist corrosion over more years of float service. The result is a design life of 10-12 years, versus the much shorter replacement cycles of a conventional stand-by AGM. In installations with many batteries, stretching each replacement translates directly into lower cost and less downtime.

Like any sealed VRLA AGM battery, it runs maintenance-free, with no water topping-up and low self-discharge, ready to sit on float next to the electronics it protects.

Models in the Ritar RL series

RL12-7 — 12V 7 Ah, for compact UPS units, alarms and security equipment.
RL12-50 — 12V 50 Ah, for mid-size UPS and comms cabinets.
RL12-100 — 12V 100 Ah, the usual block in 48V backup strings.
