Batteries for emergency lights

Emergency lighting batteries compliant with EN 60598-2-22 and EN 50171: self-contained and centralised units from Daisalux, Legrand, Schneider Electric, Sagelux, Hispania, Olfer, Normalux, Ova.

Because lights operate next to a hot LED or fluorescent module, the required chemistry is high-temperature Ni-Cd (HT) with 7-10 year life, or Ni-MH HT for modern replacements. 1.2-4.5 Ah cells in AA, C, D, sub-C, packed as 3-6 cells in series (3.6-7.2 V).
