Stationary Batteries

Stationary batteries are built for systems that demand a very long service life (10-25 years) working in float: telecoms, remote control, electrical substations, industrial alarms, control instrumentation and high-power UPS/standby systems in data centres and hospitals.

What's the difference between OPzS and OPzV?

OPzS uses liquid electrolyte and needs maintenance (water top-ups); OPzV uses sealed gel, needs no maintenance but has a somewhat shorter life (18-22 years).

Is a stationary battery compatible with any UPS or remote-control installation?

Yes, as long as the cell-bank voltage and the minimum capacity (Ah) required by the equipment are respected; the 2V cell format is an industry standard.

OPzS is the gold-standard stationary battery: thick tubular plates, liquid electrolyte, transparent cells with a level gauge. 20-25 year life at 20 °C, needing water top-ups every 1-3 years. OPzV is the sealed gel version — maintenance-free, 18-22 year life, ideal for unventilated technical rooms. Industrial AGM is the entry point to the stationary range: 10-12 year life, sealed, mountable in any orientation, the most common standby battery for lower-power UPS.
