The Exide 4900 battery from the Garden range is rated at 12 V, 24 Ah and 250 A of cold cranking current (EN) and is designed for ride-on mowers, tillers and garden machinery. Measuring 197 × 132 × 186 mm and the positive terminal on the right, it is the direct replacement for ride-on mowers fitted from the factory with a 24 Ah battery of this format.

Dimensions, polarity and mounting

It has external dimensions of 197 × 132 × 186 mm and weighs 7.90 kg. The positive terminal on the right decides which side the cables end up on: it is the detail that causes most buying mistakes, so check it before ordering. It uses a B0 hold-down and EN small Ford lug terminals, the system that anchors and connects it in the vehicle. For a direct replacement, the current battery tray must accept these dimensions and the same terminal layout; otherwise adapters will be needed or the hold-down will change.
