The Fulbat FP12-80 with AGM technology is a 80 Ah, 12 V backup battery for UPS, alarms, telecoms and emergency lighting. It replaces the original battery without adaptation in UPS, alarm and emergency systems with a 260 × 168 × 214 mm format: same 80 Ah capacity and the positive terminal on the left.

Dimensions, polarity and mounting

The Fulbat FP12-80 is made in the 260 × 168 × 214 mm format. The positive terminal on the left decides which side the cables end up on: it is the detail that causes most buying mistakes, so check it before ordering. It uses BOLT-M6 terminals, the system that anchors and connects it in the vehicle. For a direct replacement, the current battery tray must accept these dimensions and the same terminal layout; otherwise adapters will be needed or the hold-down will change.

How to make it last longer

Check the float voltage of the UPS or charger: a voltage that is too high shortens the life of a sealed battery. Charge with a charger that has an AGM mode: it limits the voltage and protects the glass-fibre separators.
