NOCO NLP30 12V 7.8Ah 700A LiFePO4 lithium motorcycle battery
The NOCO NLP30 is a 12 V lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) powersport battery with 7.8 Ah (99.84 Wh) of capacity and 700 A of starting current, in a BCI group 30 format. NOCO rates it as equivalent to a 32 Ah lead-acid battery and specifies it for more than 50,000 starts and over 2,000 charge cycles.
Its dynamic BMS enables itself automatically and protects against over-charge, over-discharge, over-current, short circuit and extreme temperatures, with bi-directional cell balancing and no reset required. Using the lithium mode of a NOCO GENIUS charger it recharges in minutes.
The terminals can be fitted at the front, side or top, while the removable block and modular spacers adapt it to the original battery box. It weighs 2.27 kg.

How should this motorcycle battery be charged?
With a 12 V motorcycle charger delivering at most 10 % of its capacity: 0.8 A for its 7.8 Ah. High-current car chargers can damage it. If the bike is laid up for the winter, keep it on a maintenance charger. As it is lithium, use a charger with a lithium mode: lead-acid chargers can damage it.
Does it need maintenance?
No: being lithium, it is sealed and nothing needs topping up. Just keep it charged if the bike stands for a long time.
How long does the Noco NLP30 battery last?
Expected lifespan of the Noco NLP30 is 6 to 8 years, using a charger with a lithium mode. In cold regions it drops slightly due to cold-start stress; in very hot regions it also drops because of electrolyte evaporation. To extend its life: avoid deep discharges (headlights on with engine off), have the alternator checked yearly, and keep the battery clean and properly secured.
What are the dimensions of the Noco NLP30 battery?
