The positive terminal on the right decides which side the cables end up on: it is the detail that causes most buying mistakes, so check it before ordering. Charge with a charger that has an AGM mode: it limits the voltage and protects the glass-fibre separators. Avoid repeated cranking attempts on a cold bike for long: if it does not start on the third try, let the battery rest for a minute.

Official warranty

The Odyssey ODS-AGM42L comes with the manufacturer's official warranty. The warranty does not cover discharge through prolonged inactivity: if the bike stands for months, use a trickle charger.
