It withstands more charge/discharge cycles than a conventional one, handles heat better and is the required technology for motorcycles with advanced Start-Stop and regenerative braking. Expected lifespan: 5-8 years under normal conditions.
How should this motorcycle battery be charged?
With a 12 V motorcycle charger delivering at most 10 % of its capacity: 1 A for its 10 Ah. High-current car chargers can damage it. If the bike is laid up for the winter, keep it on a maintenance charger.
