The Varta LL200 is built in the 345 × 350 × 188 mm format. The positive terminal on the right determines which side the cables run to: it is the detail that causes the most buying mistakes, so it is worth checking before ordering. It uses a B00 hold-down, the system that anchors it to the vehicle's battery tray. For the swap to be direct, the space your current battery occupies must respect those three dimensions and the same terminal layout; otherwise adapters will be needed or the hold-down will have to change.

Care and maintenance

In leisure applications, avoiding discharges below 50% of capacity multiplies the number of cycles the battery will deliver. A suitable charger and, where possible, a solar regulator keep it healthy through the seasons when it sees less use. To extend its life, recharge it as soon as possible after each discharge and never leave it flat over the winter. A trickle charger is the best investment for getting many cycles out of it.
