Measuring 207 × 175 × 175 mm and the positive terminal on the right, it is the direct replacement for boats fitted from the factory with a 40 Ah battery of this format.

It has external dimensions of 207 × 175 × 175 mm and weighs 14.20 kg. The positive terminal on the right decides which side the cables end up on: it is the detail that causes most buying mistakes, so check it before ordering. It uses a B4 hold-down and 1 full Ford lug terminals, the system that anchors and connects it in the vehicle. For a direct replacement, the current battery tray must accept these dimensions and the same terminal layout; otherwise adapters will be needed or the hold-down will change.

Official warranty

The Exide ES450 comes with the manufacturer's official warranty against manufacturing defects. Deep discharge from winter lay-up without charging is not covered.

Usage and maintenance tips

As a service battery, avoid routine discharges below 50% to extend its cycle life. Protect the terminals with dielectric grease and check the fixing: vibration and swell loosen connections.
