Stationary battery Long WPS2.3-12 WPS Series 2.3Ah 12V

Designed for UPS, alarms, telecoms and emergency lighting, the Long WPS2.3-12 from the WPS Series range offers 2.3 Ah with AGM technology on permanent float charge. It replaces the original battery without adaptation in UPS, alarm and emergency systems with a 178 × 34 × 66 mm format: same 2.3 Ah capacity.

• AGM technology: absorbed electrolyte, no spills, can be mounted at an angle.
• Long float life under permanent charge.
• Sealed and gas-free: suitable for cabinets and offices.
• Maintenance-free for its whole service life.

What the Long WPS2.3-12 is for

The Long WPS2.3-12 is designed for UPS, alarms, telecoms and emergency lighting: it sits on float charge and responds instantly to a mains failure. Check that it matches your current battery in dimensions, terminals and hold-down: this reference has a weight of 0.87 kg.

The Long WPS2.3-12: WPS Series range and AGM technology

Within the Long catalogue, the WPS Series series groups the references designed for this use. The WPS2.3-12 is the 2.3 Ah model of that family, with the same performance as its siblings in other sizes.

AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) technology seals the electrolyte in glass microfibre. The result is a maintenance-free battery that is highly vibration-resistant and able to withstand deep discharges that would ruin a classic lead-acid battery.

Dimensions, polarity and mounting

It has external dimensions of 178 × 34 × 66 mm and weighs 0.87 kg. For a direct replacement, the current battery tray must accept these dimensions and the same terminal layout; otherwise adapters will be needed or the hold-down will change.

What Long does differently

Long batteries combine large-scale production with ISO quality standards and a batch-to-batch consistency that has made them the de-facto standard in backup systems and electric mobility. All the Long batteries in our catalogue are genuine product, recently manufactured and covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

How to make it last longer

Replace all the batteries in the set at once and avoid environments continuously above 25 °C. Charge with a charger that has an AGM mode: it limits the voltage and protects the glass-fibre separators.

Manufacturer's warranty

The Long WPS2.3-12 comes with the manufacturer's official warranty against manufacturing defects. If it fails through a defect within the warranty period, we replace it at no cost to you.
