Kronobat DP-80-EFB 12V 80Ah 800A is a leisure battery for campers, motorhomes and caravans. Designed to power the entire interior kit (fridge, heater, water pump, USB, LED lighting) for several days off-grid, with no need to plug into a campsite hookup.

For motorhomes, caravans and campers that need power off-grid, the Kronobat DP-80-EFB from the Dual Purpose EFB range provides 80 Ah of energy with EFB technology. It replaces the original battery without adaptation in motorhomes and caravans with a 314 × 175 × 190 mm format: same 80 Ah capacity and the positive terminal on the right.
With 80 Ah, the Kronobat DP-80-EFB is the habitation battery for motorhomes, caravans and campers that need power off-grid. It recharges from the alternator, a solar panel or a mains charger. Check that it matches your current battery in dimensions, terminals and hold-down: this reference has a weight of 21.59 kg and 1.0 terminals.
The Dual Purpose EFB is the Kronobat range the DP-80-EFB belongs to: it shares the same construction and quality criteria with the rest of the series, and varies in capacity and format to suit each vehicle.
EFB combines the robustness of the flooded battery with improved plates and separators. The result is a clearly longer service life in vehicles that start and stop constantly.
The Kronobat DP-80-EFB is made in the 314 × 175 × 190 mm format and weighs 21.59 kg. The positive terminal on the right decides which side the cables end up on: it is the detail that causes most buying mistakes, so check it before ordering. It uses 1.0 terminals, the system that anchors and connects it in the vehicle. Checking the three dimensions and the terminal position before buying avoids the most common mistake when replacing a battery.
Kronobat is the exclusive brand of baterias.com: batteries made to the same production standards as the leading brands, with a value for money that is hard to match and an official warranty. We guarantee that every Kronobat arrives new, charged and with the manufacturer's full warranty.
Avoid routinely discharging the leisure battery below 50% and recharge it fully after every trip. A charger with an EFB or smart conventional mode is enough; avoid the high-voltage modes intended for AGM.
The Kronobat DP-80-EFB comes with the manufacturer's official warranty against manufacturing defects. Avoid repeated full discharges: they shorten its life and are not covered.
Orders placed before 6:00 pm with the battery in stock ship the same day. Delivery in mainland Spain and Portugal takes 24-48 working hours; for the Balearic and Canary Islands and the rest of the European Union allow 3 to 5 working days. You have 14 days to return an unused battery; in mainland Spain and Portugal collection is free. We email you the tracking number as soon as the parcel ships.

Guide to replace the leisure battery of your motorhome or caravan. Estimated time 15-25 minutes. Important: isolate the 12V auxiliary system before handling.
Turn off fridge, lights, water pump, Truma Mover and other auxiliary loads. Disconnect the 230V shore power and solar panels if any.
On motorhomes usually under the driver/passenger seat, in an outside locker or in the garage area. Verify this is NOT the engine starter battery — that one is up front with the engine.
Use the 10 mm wrench to loosen the negative cable nut (black, marked −) and remove the cable from the post. Move it aside so it cannot touch any bodywork.
Repeat with the positive cable (red, marked +). Important: never let a terminal touch metal of the car while the other is still connected.
Loosen the bottom hold-down clamp with the same wrench. Lift the battery carefully (it can weigh 15-25 kg). Clean the tray with a brush and baking soda if there is corrosion.
Place the battery in the same orientation as the old one (positive terminal on the same side). Tighten the hold-down clamp firmly.
Connect the positive (+) terminal first, then the negative (−). Tighten the nuts with the wrench until each terminal does not move. Apply anti-spark grease if you have any.
After connecting, check the combi charger (CBE/Schaudt/Nordelettronica) recognises the new battery: voltage should stabilise at 13.2-13.8 V with 230V connected. Test a couple of services (lights + pump) before heading out.
Yes. The DP-80-EFB is an EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery): flooded lead-acid reinforced with plate additives. Withstands more cycles than a conventional but fewer than an AGM. Fitted to caravans with basic Start-Stop (no regenerative braking). More affordable than an equivalent AGM, lifespan 4-6 years.
In most caravans it fits in 15-30 minutes with a 10 mm wrench; if the battery is under the seat or in the boot the time can double. See the step-by-step guide on this page. Quick summary: 1) switch off the engine and remove the key; 2) locate the original battery (engine bay, boot or under seat); 3) disconnect the negative (−) terminal first, then the positive (+); 4) loosen the hold-down clamp and remove the old battery; 5) fit the new one in the same orientation — match the polarity shown on the product sheet; 6) connect the positive (+) first, then the negative (−). On caravans with Start-Stop or BMS, register the battery via OBD so the alternator applies the correct charging profile.
Expected lifespan of the Kronobat DP-80-EFB is 4 to 6 years in basic Start-Stop caravan use. In cold regions it drops slightly due to cold-start stress; in very hot regions it also drops because of electrolyte evaporation. To extend its life: avoid deep discharges (headlights on with engine off), have the alternator checked yearly, and keep the battery clean and properly secured.
Dimensions (length × width × height) are 314×175×190 mm — also written as 314x175x190 mm and correspond to the European L4 case size — following the European DIN standard. Always measure the space in your caravan before buying: even one extra millimetre can prevent the hold-down clamp from closing. The height shown includes the terminals.
Three options to confirm: 1) enter your number plate in the finder (DGT/DVLA/KBA auto-detect your model and engine); 2) check the "Compatible vehicles" tab on this page, where we list every vehicle verified by our technical team; 3) if you cannot find your model, message us on WhatsApp with brand, model, engine and year — we reply during business hours (Mon–Fri 10:00–13:30 and 16:40–18:00 (Spanish time, CET)). The DP-80-EFB typically fits a wide range of European vehicles thanks to its standard DIN case format.
Directly interchangeable batteries (same dimensions, same polarity, same Ah and CCA) are the OEM equivalents from leading brands: Bosch, Tudor, Exide and, depending on the model, Banner or Yuasa. Exact equivalence depends on technology — an EFB cannot be replaced with a conventional battery in Start-Stop caravans. See the "Equivalents" section to view recommended options at the same performance level.
