Dimensions, polarity and mounting

It has external dimensions of 150 × 65 × 95 mm and weighs 2.50 kg. The positive terminal on the left decides which side the cables end up on: it is the detail that causes most buying mistakes, so check it before ordering. It uses a B0 hold-down and Faston S (4 8) terminals, the system that anchors and connects it in the vehicle. For a direct replacement, the current battery tray must accept these dimensions and the same terminal layout; otherwise adapters will be needed or the hold-down will change.

How to make it last longer

If the bike spends the winter standing, connect a trickle charger: deep discharge through inactivity is the first cause of premature failure. Avoid repeated cranking attempts on a cold bike for long: if it does not start on the third try, let the battery rest for a minute.

Warranty and coverage

The Exide AGM12-7F comes with the manufacturer's official warranty. The warranty does not cover discharge through prolonged inactivity: if the bike stands for months, use a trickle charger.
