Mobility battery Long WP12-6S WP Series 12Ah 6V

The 6 V, 12 Ah Long WP12-6S from the WP Series range with AGM technology is the standard replacement for power wheelchairs, mobility scooters and light electric vehicles. Its 151 × 50 × 99 mm make it the exact replacement for the 12 Ah battery fitted as standard to many power wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

• Sealed AGM/GEL: safe indoors and in transport.
• AGM: faster recharging and better cycle resistance than a conventional battery.
• Approved for air and sea transport (VRLA).
• No maintenance, no water top-ups.

What the Long WP12-6S is for

The Long WP12-6S is the usual replacement in power wheelchairs, mobility scooters and light electric vehicles. Recharge after each use and avoid leaving it discharged for days. Check that it matches your current battery in dimensions, terminals and hold-down: this reference has a weight of 1.84 kg.

Dimensions, polarity and mounting

It has external dimensions of 151 × 50 × 99 mm and weighs 1.84 kg. For a direct replacement, the current battery tray must accept these dimensions and the same terminal layout; otherwise adapters will be needed or the hold-down will change.

Long: the maker behind the WP12-6S

Long batteries combine large-scale production with ISO quality standards and a batch-to-batch consistency that has made them the de-facto standard in backup systems and electric mobility. At baterias.com we work directly with the manufacturer or its official distributor: real stock, brand-new product and official warranty.

The Long WP12-6S: WP Series range and AGM technology

The WP Series is the Long range the WP12-6S belongs to: it shares the same construction and quality criteria with the rest of the series, and varies in capacity and format to suit each vehicle.

AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) technology seals the electrolyte in glass microfibre. The result is a maintenance-free battery that is highly vibration-resistant and able to withstand deep discharges that would ruin a classic lead-acid battery.

Usage and maintenance tips

Charge with a charger that has an AGM mode: it limits the voltage and protects the glass-fibre separators. Recharge the wheelchair or scooter after each use and do not leave it discharged for days: lead sulphates and loses capacity.

Warranty and coverage

The Long WP12-6S comes with the manufacturer's official warranty against manufacturing defects. If it fails through a defect within the warranty period, we replace it at no cost to you.
