The Long WP1222A is the usual replacement in power wheelchairs, mobility scooters and light electric vehicles. Recharge after each use and avoid leaving it discharged for days. Check that it matches your current battery in dimensions, terminals and hold-down: this reference has a weight of 0.69 kg.
The Long WP1222A: WP Series range and AGM technology
The WP1222A is part of the Long WP Series range. Choosing the right reference within the series comes down to capacity, dimensions and terminals: technology and quality are common to the whole family.
AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) technology seals the electrolyte in glass microfibre. The result is a maintenance-free battery that is highly vibration-resistant and able to withstand deep discharges that would ruin a classic lead-acid battery.
Size, terminals and hold-down of the Long WP1222A
It has external dimensions of 182 × 23 × 61 mm and weighs 0.69 kg. Checking the three dimensions and the terminal position before buying avoids the most common mistake when replacing a battery.
Long: the maker behind the WP1222A
Long batteries combine large-scale production with ISO quality standards and a batch-to-batch consistency that has made them the de-facto standard in backup systems and electric mobility. We guarantee that every Long arrives new, charged and with the manufacturer's full warranty.
Care and maintenance
Use the original charger or one compatible with the battery technology (AGM/GEL) and always replace both batteries in the set together. Charge with a charger that has an AGM mode: it limits the voltage and protects the glass-fibre separators.
Warranty and coverage
The Long WP1222A comes with the manufacturer's official warranty against manufacturing defects. If it fails through a defect within the warranty period, we replace it at no cost to you.
Shipping, delivery and returns
Order before 6:00 pm with stock available and it leaves today: mainland Spain and Portugal receive it in 24-48 working hours, the islands and the rest of the EU in 3 to 5 days. You have 14 days to return it if it has not been installed, with free collection on the mainland, and shipment tracking by email.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Long WP1222A an AGM battery and what are the benefits of AGM?
Yes. The WP1222A from Long uses AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) technology: a sealed lead-acid battery where the electrolyte is absorbed in a glass-fibre mat. It withstands more charge/discharge cycles than a conventional one, handles heat better and is the required technology for devices with advanced Start-Stop and regenerative braking. Expected lifespan: 5-8 years under normal conditions.
What are the dimensions of the Long WP1222A battery?
Dimensions (length × width × height) are 182×23×61 mm — also written as 182x23x61 mm — following the European DIN standard. Always measure the space in your device before buying: even one extra millimetre can prevent the hold-down clamp from closing. The height shown includes the terminals.
Long WP1222A or MK Powered ES2.3-12V: which one to choose?
Same case and same technology as the WP1222A: an alternative by size, not an official equivalent. Compared with the WP1222A it has the same Ah and cranking power. It costs €63.60 more. If the polarity matches and your equipment had a similar capacity, it works as a replacement; if in doubt, ask us with your model.
