• No maintenance, no water top-ups.
• Approved for air and sea transport (VRLA).

What the Long WP18-12I is for

The Long WP18-12I is designed for power wheelchairs, mobility scooters and light electric vehicles. Wheelchairs and scooters normally use two identical batteries in series: replace them together. Check that it matches your current battery in dimensions, terminals and hold-down: this reference has a weight of 6.30 kg.

Size, terminals and hold-down of the Long WP18-12I

The Long WP18-12I is made in the 181 × 76 × 167 mm format and weighs 6.30 kg. Before replacing it, measure your current battery tray: if all three dimensions and the terminal positions match, the swap is direct and needs no adapters.

What Long does differently

Long batteries combine large-scale production with ISO quality standards and a batch-to-batch consistency that has made them the de-facto standard in backup systems and electric mobility. At baterias.com we work directly with the manufacturer or its official distributor: real stock, brand-new product and official warranty.

The Long WP18-12I: WP Series range and AGM technology

Within the Long catalogue, the WP Series series groups the references designed for this use. The WP18-12I is the 18 Ah model of that family, with the same performance as its siblings in other sizes.

In an AGM battery the electrolyte is absorbed in glass-fibre separators: there is no free liquid, it cannot spill and it can be mounted at an angle. That construction lowers internal resistance, speeds up recharging and multiplies cycle life compared with a conventional battery.

Usage and maintenance tips

Recharge the wheelchair or scooter after each use and do not leave it discharged for days: lead sulphates and loses capacity. Use the original charger or one compatible with the battery technology (AGM/GEL) and always replace both batteries in the set together.

Manufacturer's warranty

The Long WP18-12I comes with the manufacturer's official warranty against manufacturing defects. If it fails through a defect within the warranty period, we replace it at no cost to you.
