Car battery Deta DB1100 Power 110Ah 850A 12V

The Deta DB1100 car battery is rated at 12 V, 110 Ah and 850 A of cold cranking current (EN) from the Power range, and is designed for passenger cars with conventional starting, without a Start-Stop system. Measuring 392 × 175 × 190 mm and the positive terminal on the right, it is the direct replacement for cars fitted from the factory with a 110 Ah battery of this format.

  • Low self-discharge: copes with long stops without losing charge.
  • Designed to last several years under normal daily use.
  • Good balance of capacity, cranking power and price.
  • Stable voltage for the vehicle electronics (ECU, sensors, climate control).

What the Deta DB1100 is for

The Deta DB1100 covers the needs of passenger cars with conventional starting, without a Start-Stop system: reliable starting, stable voltage for the electronics and a service life of several years in daily use. Check that it matches your current battery in size and terminal position. Check that it matches your current battery in dimensions, terminals and hold-down: this reference has a weight of 26.30 kg and B13 hold-down.

Dimensions, polarity and mounting

In terms of format, the Deta DB1100 measures 392 × 175 × 190 mm (length × width × height) and weighs 26.30 kg. The positive terminal on the right decides which side the cables end up on: it is the detail that causes most buying mistakes, so check it before ordering. It uses a B13 hold-down, the system that anchors and connects it in the vehicle. Before replacing it, measure your current battery tray: if all three dimensions and the terminal positions match, the swap is direct and needs no adapters.

The Deta DB1100: Power range and conventional lead-acid technology

Within the Deta catalogue, the Power series groups the references designed for this use. The DB1100 is the 110 Ah model of that family, with the same performance as its siblings in other sizes.

The conventional lead-acid battery remains the most widespread technology thanks to its balance of capacity, cranking current and price. Well maintained and kept charged, it offers years of reliable service in vehicles without Start-Stop.

Deta: the maker behind the DB1100

Deta combines German engineering with Exide's industrial capacity. Its Power, Senator and PowerPRO series cover everything from urban cars to construction machinery. At baterias.com we work directly with the manufacturer or its official distributor: real stock, brand-new product and official warranty.

Official warranty

The Deta DB1100 comes with the manufacturer's official warranty against manufacturing defects; the exact period is stated in the brand's conditions. If it fails through a defect within the period, we replace it free of charge.

Care and maintenance

In normal daily use the alternator keeps the battery charged; if the car stands for weeks, a maintenance charge once a month prevents deep discharge. On batteries with filler caps, check the electrolyte level and top up only with distilled water.

Shipping, delivery and returns

Same-day dispatch from our warehouse for in-stock orders placed before 6:00 pm: 24-48 working hours in mainland Spain and Portugal, 3 to 5 days in the islands and the rest of Europe. Returns are accepted for 14 days if the battery has not been used (free collection on the Iberian mainland). You will receive tracking by email.

How to change the battery

Step-by-step guide to replace your car battery in 15-30 minutes (longer if the battery is under the seat or in the boot) without losing vehicle settings.

⏱ 15-30 min🛠 Tools: 10 mm wrench · Protective gloves
  1. Step 1. Prepare the vehicle

Park on a flat surface, switch off the engine and remove the key. Make sure all lights and electrical accessories are off. Wait 1-2 minutes before starting.

  2. Step 2. Locate the battery

Open the bonnet. The battery is usually in the engine bay, but in many modern cars it may be in the boot or under the passenger seat. Check the manual if you cannot find it.

  3. Step 3. Disconnect the negative (−) terminal

Use the 10 mm wrench to loosen the negative cable nut (black, marked −) and remove the cable from the post. Move it aside so it cannot touch any bodywork.

  4. Step 4. Disconnect the positive (+) terminal

Repeat with the positive cable (red, marked +). Important: never let a terminal touch metal of the car while the other is still connected.

  5. Step 5. Remove the old battery

Loosen the bottom hold-down clamp with the same wrench. Lift the battery carefully (it can weigh 15-25 kg). Clean the tray with a brush and baking soda if there is corrosion.

  6. Step 6. Install the new battery

Place the battery in the same orientation as the old one (positive terminal on the same side). Tighten the hold-down clamp firmly.

  7. Step 7. Connect the cables

Connect the positive (+) terminal first, then the negative (−). Tighten the nuts with the wrench until each terminal does not move. Apply anti-spark grease if you have any.

  8. Step 8. Verify the engine starts

Close the bonnet. Start the engine to confirm everything works. On cars with Start-Stop or a BMS, you may need to register the battery via OBD so the alternator applies the correct charging profile.

Frequently asked questions

How do I change this battery step by step?

In most cars it fits in 15-30 minutes with a 10 mm wrench; if the battery is under the seat or in the boot the time can double. See the step-by-step guide on this page. Quick summary: 1) switch off the engine and remove the key; 2) locate the original battery (engine bay, boot or under seat); 3) disconnect the negative (−) terminal first, then the positive (+); 4) loosen the hold-down clamp and remove the old battery; 5) fit the new one in the same orientation — match the polarity shown on the product sheet; 6) connect the positive (+) first, then the negative (−). On cars with Start-Stop or BMS, register the battery via OBD so the alternator applies the correct charging profile.

How many years does this battery last?

Expected lifespan of the Deta DB1100 is 4 to 6 years in regular car use without Start-Stop. In cold regions it drops slightly due to cold-start stress; in very hot regions it also drops because of electrolyte evaporation. To extend its life: avoid deep discharges (headlights on with engine off), have the alternator checked yearly, and keep the battery clean and properly secured.

What size is this battery?

Dimensions (length × width × height) are 392×175×190 mm — also written as 392x175x190 mm and correspond to the European L6 case size — following the European DIN standard. Always measure the space in your car before buying: even one extra millimetre can prevent the hold-down clamp from closing. The height shown includes the terminals.

Will the Deta DB1100 battery fit my car?

Three options to confirm: 1) enter your number plate in the finder (DGT/DVLA/KBA auto-detect your model and engine); 2) check the "Compatible vehicles" tab on this page, where we list every vehicle verified by our technical team; 3) if you cannot find your model, message us on WhatsApp with brand, model, engine and year — we reply during business hours (Mon–Fri 10:00–13:30 and 16:40–18:00 (Spanish time, CET)). The DB1100 typically fits a wide range of European vehicles thanks to its standard DIN case format.

Which batteries are equivalent to the Deta DB1100?

Directly interchangeable batteries (same dimensions, same polarity, same Ah and CCA) are the OEM equivalents from leading brands: Bosch, Tudor, Exide and, depending on the model, Banner or Yuasa. Exact equivalence depends on technology — an EFB cannot be replaced with a conventional battery in Start-Stop cars. See the "Equivalents" section to view recommended options at the same performance level.
