The Exide Marina Dual ET series applies AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) technology to marine dual purpose duty: the electrolyte is absorbed in glass-fibre separators, so the battery is sealed, spills no acid even when heeled over, and withstands vibration and cycling better than a flooded marine battery. With 680-850 A of cranking current (CCA), it delivers confident starts even after days at anchor.

The ET is the sealed AGM series of the Marina Dual family, while EP and ER use flooded lead-acid (FLA). The ET takes deeper discharges with zero maintenance; the flooded ranges offer more maximum capacity (up to 140 Ah) at a lower price.

Can I mount an ET battery tilted or in a closed compartment?

Yes. Being sealed with gas recombination, an AGM like the ET can work tilted and in poorly ventilated spaces where a flooded battery would not be advisable. Only upside-down mounting should be avoided.
