The Varta LL150LT battery is the 12.8 V, 150 Ah from the Professional Li-Ion Deep Cycle range, designed for motorhomes, boats and auxiliary power equipment. It replaces the original battery in vehicles with the 353 × 175 × 190 mm format without any modifications: the same 150 Ah capacity and the same terminal layout (positive on the right).

Size and fitting of the Varta LL150LT

Its outer dimensions are 353 × 175 × 190 mm. The positive terminal on the right determines which side the cables run to: it is the detail that causes the most buying mistakes, so it is worth checking before ordering. It uses a B13 hold-down, the system that anchors it to the vehicle's battery tray. For the swap to be direct, the space your current battery occupies must respect those three dimensions and the same terminal layout; otherwise adapters will be needed or the hold-down will have to change.

Care and maintenance

In leisure applications, avoiding discharges below 50% of capacity multiplies the number of cycles the battery will deliver. A suitable charger and, where possible, a solar regulator keep it healthy through the seasons when it sees less use. To extend its life, recharge it as soon as possible after each discharge and never leave it flat over the winter. A trickle charger is the best investment for getting many cycles out of it.
