With 70 Ah at 12 V and 760 A of cold cranking current (EN), the Exide EP600 from the Marina Dual EP range is built for motor and sailing boats, both for engine starting and onboard services. Its 278 × 175 × 190 mm and the positive terminal on the right make it the exact replacement for the 70 Ah battery fitted as standard to many boats.

The Marina Dual EP is the Exide range the EP600 belongs to: it shares the same construction and quality criteria with the rest of the series, and varies in capacity and format to suit each vehicle.
AGM means the acid is held in a glass mat instead of floating free. That is why the battery can be installed in the cabin without gases, survives more cycles and recovers its charge quickly.
Dimensions, polarity and mounting
It has external dimensions of 278 × 175 × 190 mm and weighs 20.60 kg. The positive terminal on the right decides which side the cables end up on: it is the detail that causes most buying mistakes, so check it before ordering. It uses a B13 hold-down and 1 terminals, the system that anchors and connects it in the vehicle. Before replacing it, measure your current battery tray: if all three dimensions and the terminal positions match, the swap is direct and needs no adapters.

Charge with a charger that has an AGM mode: it limits the voltage and protects the glass-fibre separators. At the end of the season, charge the battery fully and, if possible, keep it on a charger over the winter lay-up.
Warranty and coverage
The Exide EP600 comes with the manufacturer's official warranty against manufacturing defects. Deep discharge from winter lay-up without charging is not covered.
