Tengo una Peugeot RIFTER del 2020 con start-stop. A los seis años justos, sin preaviso, el coche se volvió loco. Empezó dando "error del sistema de frenada de emergencia. De día, al cerrar con el mando se encendían las luces traseras. Tenía que cortar el contacto y volver a ponerlo, sin arrancar el motor, para poder quitar el freno de mano eléctrico. El ventilador del habitáculo se encendía a tope de velocidad cuando arrancaba. Y de repente, entre todos los fallos, aparqué y no volvió a arrancar, sin hacer nada, ni ruido de intentar girar el motor de arranque, totalmente muerto aunque funcionaban los elevalunas y el cierre centralizado.
Estuve por llamar a asistencia y llevarlo al taller, pero como no quiero pisar ninguna Peugeot por lo mal que me trataron con el coche recién estrenado, llamé a mi hermano y le conté todos los problemas. El se empezó a oler algún tipo de fallo eléctrico y se presentó en mi ayuda con un arrancador y un polímetro. Un voltio y medio de bajada de voltaje de la batería parecía el causante de todo. Con el arrancador pude estar moviéndome y localicé por internet la web de "baterias.com".
Con la matrícula del coche me indicaron LA BATERÍA MÁS ADECUADA que debía utilizar, me dieron EL MEJOR PRECIO: sobre 100 euros de ahorro con respecto a cualquier tienda de recambios que había visitado, LA MEJOR MARCA: una VARTA, en cuanto al ENVÍO RAPIDÍSIMO.
Con unas pocas indicaciones sobre esperar después de apagar el motor a que las centralitas "se duerman", orden de desconexión de los polos positivo y negativo que se encuentran fácilmente en internet, la cambié sin problema alguno..
Pero . . . resulta que la que traía de origen era una EFB y le había montado una AGP. Por todas partes leí que había que llevar el coche a la Peugeot para que reprogramaran el "alternador inteligente" o me cargaría la batería nueva en breve espacio de tiempo.
Afortunadamente se me ocurrió consultar a la IA y me dio una gran alegría. El "alternador inteligente" es tan inteligente que la centralita que le corresponde analiza los voltajes en marcha y reposo, ajustando automáticamente los parámetros correspondientes después de dos o tres periodos de parada superior a cuatro horas.
Así fue. Después de tres noches todo estaba en orden (comprobado con un diagbox de un amigo) y sin haber tenido ni que llamar a la Peugeot.
Siento haberme extendido tanto, pero creo que así los usuarios de Peugeot Rifter podrán comprender una más de las múltiples locuras de su coche y que con baterias.com y este comentario, se pueden ahorrar muuuucho dinero en el cambio de su batería. Gracias...

How to change the battery
Step-by-step guide to replace your car battery in 15-30 minutes (longer if the battery is under the seat or in the boot) without losing vehicle settings.
Step 1. Prepare the vehicle
Park on a flat surface, switch off the engine and remove the key. Make sure all lights and electrical accessories are off. Wait 1-2 minutes before starting.
Step 2. Locate the battery
Open the bonnet. The battery is usually in the engine bay, but in many modern cars it may be in the boot or under the passenger seat. Check the manual if you cannot find it.
Step 3. Disconnect the negative (−) terminal
Use the 10 mm wrench to loosen the negative cable nut (black, marked −) and remove the cable from the post. Move it aside so it cannot touch any bodywork.
Step 4. Disconnect the positive (+) terminal
Repeat with the positive cable (red, marked +). Important: never let a terminal touch metal of the car while the other is still connected.
Step 5. Remove the old battery
Loosen the bottom hold-down clamp with the same wrench. Lift the battery carefully (it can weigh 15-25 kg). Clean the tray with a brush and baking soda if there is corrosion.
Step 6. Install the new battery
Place the battery in the same orientation as the old one (positive terminal on the same side). Tighten the hold-down clamp firmly.
Step 7. Connect the cables
Connect the positive (+) terminal first, then the negative (−). Tighten the nuts with the wrench until each terminal does not move. Apply anti-spark grease if you have any.
Step 8. Verify the engine starts
Close the bonnet. Start the engine to confirm everything works. On cars with Start-Stop or a BMS, you may need to register the battery via OBD so the alternator applies the correct charging profile.
