«A bateria chegou a casa super rápido. Só achei estranho vir sem ser embalada, mas secalhar é o normal transporte das baterias.»

Frequently asked questions

It depends on the engine. SEAT Alhambra owners mostly buy Varta A7 70Ah (134.95 €), Varta E44 77Ah (85.40 €) and Varta N80 80Ah (126.30 €) from us. The table shows the recommended battery for each engine with its price (VAT included) and a link to its page; with your number plate or VIN we tell you the exact one in seconds.
Between 54.40 € and 149.95 €, VAT included, depending on capacity and technology (lead-acid, EFB, AGM). Start-Stop versions (AGM or EFB) sit at the top of the range because they withstand many more cycles.
By the registration year: Alhambra II (2010-2022); Alhambra I (1996-2010); Alhambra Van (1996-2010). If your year falls in the overlap between two generations, tell them apart by body type (hatchback, estate or coupé) or use the plate finder, which settles it with no doubt.
Yes, as long as the dimensions fit the tray and the terminal layout matches. More capacity (Ah) and more cold cranking (A) do not harm the vehicle: the alternator charges it the same and you gain margin in winter. What you must never do is go below the original figures.
Between 4 and 6 years in normal use. Start-Stop batteries (AGM/EFB) tend to last slightly less in city driving because of the number of starts, but they are designed for that cycling. If the car sits unused for weeks or you notice slow cranking in the cold, get it checked.

How to know which battery your SEAT Alhambra takes

The quickest and safest route is to enter your number plate: we identify the exact version, its engine and the battery fitted at the factory, with no room for error.

You can also work it out yourself: find the registration date in the vehicle documents and locate it in the table. If the year overlaps two generations, the body style — hatch, estate or coupé — tells them apart.

Before ordering, inspect your existing battery: its label lists the Ah and the starting amps. The replacement must match or beat both — never fall short — and share the same size and positive terminal side.

Start-Stop: which battery your Alhambra needs

The later Alhambra generations run Start-Stop, which puts the battery through hundreds of micro-cycles a day. These cars require EFB (basic Start-Stop) or AGM (Start-Stop with regenerative braking): fitting a conventional battery instead cuts service life to a few months and the ECU may disable the function. Rule of thumb: never downgrade from the technology fitted at the factory.
